More than 2,000 people attended the Cork Car Show at the Cork International Hotel at the weekend where 160 classic, vintage, Harleys and Goldwings were on display. All proceeds from the event at the Cork International Hotel went to the Rainbow Club and in total more than €7,500 was raised.

Also at the event were the Cut Throat Barbers and Tom Winters Barbers who set up a pop-up barber show and donated all proceeds raised on hair cuts to the Rainbow Club. Cork Airport also assisted with providing additional car park spaces for attendees.

Sandra Murphy, Group Event Production Manager with Trigon Hotels said: “We had a fantastic day at the Cork Car Show on Sunday at the Cork International Hotel and we raised a huge amount for the Rainbow Club, thanks to everyone who attended. A special thanks also to the volunteers who made the event possible. We were very excited to once again host this event in aid of our charity partner, the Rainbow Club.”

This was the third Cork Car Show at the Cork International Hotel. On the day there was not only be the biggest array of cars on show in Cork this year but also a family fun day with children’s entertainers. There were also prizes for the cars such as best vintage, best car on show, best bike.

The annual event was held in aid of Cork charity, the Rainbow Club. The Rainbow Club is a support service for children who have autism or are on the autism spectrum. The event will feature American cars and bikes in addition to some very special vintage cars.

The Cork International Hotel recently announced that it has partnered with the Rainbow Club Cork Centre for Autism as its charity partner for 2019. As a result of this new partnership with the Rainbow Club, the Cork International Hotel will raise funds on behalf of the charity throughout the year through various events. The Rainbow Club is hoping to raise €2 million to fund a new facility in Little Island.

In addition to fundraising efforts, the hotel plans to work towards making its environment for guests with autism more inclusive by tailoring its facilities. It is also providing its team with awareness training. The hotel will now be working with the Rainbow Club to determine the additions and changes at the hotel.
