Aspire Leadership Programme

Leadership Development Programme run by Cork College of FET - Bishopstown C

The Aspire programme is a Leadership Development Programme run by Cork College of FET – Bishopstown Campus under the Skills to Advance initiative for the Trigon Hotel Group. The Aspire programme will develop your leadership skills and help you achieve your full potential.

At Trigon Hotels we want you to be yourself and we encourage all our team members to develop and have fulfilling careers. Our Aspire Leadership Programme will support your progression, development and help you develop foundations to support you in the direction you want to go.

The Aspire Leadership Programme is a three-tiered Leadership Development Program run by Trigon Hotels in conjunction with Cork College of FET – Bishopstown Campus which will develop your supervisory and leadership skills.

CERTIFICATION

When you study the Aspire Programme you will study qualifications accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). ILM is an internationally recognised qualification.

MEet the tutor

The Aspire programme will be delivered by Anne Pettit MSc HRM, MSocHRD, FCIPD, FIITD. Anne is a human resource consultant with in excess of 25 years of experience in managing teams, functions and businesses of various sizes and complexities. Anne has worked on numerous HR Projects and Assignments for both SME’s and National and Multi-National organisations. In addition to managing ongoing outsourced HR projects, Anne has also managed a number of re-organisation and restructuring projects, advising senior management teams on strategic and operational issues. Anne is a highly experienced tutor who will guide you to unleash your leadership capability.

NAVIGATE PROGRAMME

ILM Level 3 award in leadership and management. For those who wish to move into a supervisory or managerial role.

MODULES INCLUDE:

To achieve the award you must complete the following mandatory modules

  • Understanding leadership
  • Understanding conflict management in the workplace
  • Understanding stress management in the workplace

You can then choose to add to your qualification by studying the following electives:

  • Understanding customer service standards and requirements
  • Understanding the induction of new staff in the workplace
  • Planning and allocating work
  • Understand how to establish an effective team
  • Understanding the communication process in the workplace

The navigate programme is delivered in person.

emerging leaders PROGRAMME

ILM Level 3 certificate in leadership and management. For those existing supervisors and managers.

MODULES INCLUDE:

To achieve the award you must complete the following mandatory modules

  • Understanding conflict management in the workplace
  • Leading and motivating a team effectively
  • Understanding customer service standards and requirements
  • Understanding organising and delegating in the workplace
  • Understanding performance management
  • Developing yourself as a team leader
  • Developing mental toughness
  • Diversity in the workplace
  • Planning and monitoring work
  • Managing yourself
  • Workplace communication

You can then choose to add to your qualification by studying the following electives:

  • Understanding good practice in coaching within an organisational context
  • Understanding incident management & disaster recovery in the workplace
  • Understanding performance management

Learners on the Emerging Leaders Programme will also complete Myers Briggs profiling.

The Emerging Leaders Programme is delivered using a blended learning approach. Most classes are delivered in person, but some are delivered online.

ILM Level 4 certificate in in leadership and management. Senior management team.

MODULES INCLUDE:

To achieve the award you must complete the following mandatory modules

  • Developing your leadership styles
  • Managing and implementing change in the workplace
  • Developing individual mental toughness
  • Understanding conflict management in the workplace
  • Developing critical thinking
  • Developing people in the workplace
  • Managing equality & diversity in own area
  • Management communication
  • Planning and leading a complex team activity

Those who successfully complete the level four certificate in leadership & management can elect to add on an additional module preparing to apply lean production & improvement methodologies to operational problems in service delivery to achieve the level four diploma in leadership & management.

The Complete Leaders Programme is delivered using a blended learning approach.
