Coronavirus (COVID-19)

I am reaching out to you on behalf of Cork Airport Hotel, Cork International Hotel and The Metropole Hotel teams. We would like you to know the safety, health and well-being of you and our team is our highest priority. As the circumstances around coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to evolve, please see our most recent update below on what we are doing to ensure maximum safety and flexibility for our guests during this time.

Please know that we are continuing to monitor the situation and will adhere to any recommendations issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO), Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE) and/or the Department of Public Health.

HYGIENE

As always, hygiene is of the utmost importance in our hotels. We remain committed to vigilant cleanliness and upholding the highest standards of cleaning. In response to the coronavirus, we are undertaking additional measures in consultation with national, global and local public health organisations in line with precautionary and response procedures to continue to provide a safe environment.

A few of the many actions we are taking:

  • We are fully briefing our teams on an ongoing basis with regular updates and enhanced operating protocols based on HSE guidelines. We will continue to respond based on the advice of public health authorities and professionals.
  • We have deployed sanitisation stations across our hotels.
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning all areas using high-grade disinfectant.
  • We will continue to adjust food and beverage service in accordance with current food safety recommendations.

All our team are committed to and aware of the need to remain vigilant and are well briefed on following procedures and protocols by the WHO and the HSE.


YOUR BOOKING

We remain committed to offering you flexible booking options to ensure responsible and safe travel.

Existing Reservations: All reservations – even those described as “non-cancellable” (“Advanced Purchase or pre-pay”) – that are scheduled for arrival before April 30, 2020, can be changed to an alternative date at no charge up to 12 noon on the day of arrival.

New reservations: Any reservation you make – except those described as “non-cancellable” (“Advanced Purchase”/”Prepay”) – that are booked between today and April 30, 2020, for any future arrival date, can be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival.

Guests who booked via online travel agents or other third parties are advised to contact their booking provider for information on their policies and for assistance.

We believe that communication is of the utmost importance at this time and we remain committed to keeping our guests informed.
